Riddhi Shah was born in 1987 in Mumbai and completed her Bachelors & Masters in Visual Arts & Painting, Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S University, Baroda, where she still lives and works. She is recipient of the "Kalpana Reddy" Award for Photography in 2011 and "Nasreen Mohammadi" Award in 2009.

Shah has participated in several group exhibitions,some of her prominent shows include:- 2013, "The Material Point", Curated by Kathleen Wyma at Gallery OED Kochi; "Time, Space and Memory" curated by Ranjita Chaney Menezes, Exhibit 320, New Delhi. 2012; "Being "Small is Big" miniature show at Durbar Art Gallery, Kochii; "Scene (Un) Seen" at Visual Arts Gallery, Indian Habitat Center, New Delhi; "Art Makers Circa 2012" curated by Ranjita Chaney Menezes at Exhibit320, New Delhi. 2011: "Thinking Spaces", Exhibit320, New Delhi; "Alive and Well- Street Photography" at Mumbai Art Room, Colaba.
