Surendra Dewasi

Surendra Dewasi (Gujarat) – A painter from Gujarat (BFA Surat, 2023) who earned his MVA at MSU Baroda (2025). Surendra’s works (exhibited in MSU Baroda student shows) combine gestural color with rhythmic patterns. Rooted in local culture, his paintings abstract landscapes and human forms with intense palettes. As a recent Baroda graduate, he exemplifies how the city’s art school still shapes young regional artists, channeling Gujarat’s visual heritage through a modern sensibility.
