Nalinakshya Talukdar (Assam) – A printmaker born in Assam (BA 2021) who completed an MVA at MSU Baroda (2023). He specializes in woodcut printmaking and deeply textures his prints. Using carved matrices (often incorporating themes like cloud formations, cracked tree bark or even video-game-like layers), Nalinakshya builds surreal landscapes. His palette ranges from dry western reds to lush northeastern greens. Like Baroda’s art pedagogy, his practice bridges the natural and the invented; his woodcuts layer memory and geography into tactile imagery.
