Darshini Dalwadi

Darshini Dalwadi Patel (Gujarat) – A graduate of MSU Baroda (BVA Applied Art, 2006–09) and NID Ahmedabad (M.Des). Now a freelance textile designer, she applies her training to large cloth-based artworks. Darshini observes how landscapes change over seasons and years, translating these studies into fabric installations. In one recent exhibition, she “uses her training in textiles to create large cloth-based works which highlight the need for sustainability and ecological consciousness”. Darshini’s Baroda education gave her a foundation in fine art, which she continues to fuse with design and environmental awareness.
