Ayantika Sajwal

Ayantika Sajwal (b. 2002, West Bengal) – Studied BFA in Ceramics (Kala Bhavana, Santiniketan) and is finishing an MVA at MSU Baroda (2025). Working primarily in clay, she draws on Santiniketan’s primal sensibilities and Baroda’s industrial weight. Her installations and sculptures balance organic shapes with metal and hard materials, reflecting “memory, intimacy, and rupture” in humble ceramic forms (as in her artist statement). Ayantika’s move from Santiniketan to Baroda embodies the dialogue between inherited folk tradition and newly encountered cultural multiplicity.
