In 2017. Deepak Kumar lives and works in New Delhi, India.

Deepak was always attracted by birds, animals, insects, and the agricultural terrain around him as a child in Bihar. Deepak's works are based on observations he has made in the nation's capital over the last 11 years, during which time rapid urbanisation has become a focal point for a continually increasing contemporary metropolis. In a stark, never-ending dissonance, he discovered the river replaced by skyscrapers and concrete scaffoldings, and songbirds metamorphosed into motor pollution. Delhi was anticipating a future in which building designs would entirely take over the city.
